Relations between Ukraine and India, which began and flourished during the Soviet era, continue and develop today.
The annual trade turnover between our countries is about two billion dollars, and the share of Ukrainian exports is 3-4 times higher than imports of goods from India. Therefore, the interest of Indians in deepening cooperation and changing this balance is obvious. Given the relatively low volume of imports of their goods and raw materials to Ukraine, which consists mainly of pharmaceuticals, organic chemicals, plastics and polymers, ferrous metals and tobacco, the entry into the Indian cotton yarn market of such a major player as Rivne Flax Mill could not fail. . The dynamics of growth in the production capacity of the leader of the Ukrainian textile industry was clearly reflected in the volume of imports of Indian cotton. They were interested in the Rivne enterprise and its potential at the highest level. Therefore, the visit of the Ambassador of India to Ukraine Manoja Kumar Bharti and his Deputy Ghot Ram Mina to the Flax Mill was a logical continuation of such a partnership
During a business lunch with the management of the Rivne Flax Mill, Indian diplomats were keenly interested in all areas of activity and development of the enterprise, as well as plans to enter foreign markets.
In particular, the Indian market. After all, the quality of finished products of TM "Goldi" impressed the guests. In addition, Mr. Ambassador, who is a technological engineer by training, enthusiastically and in detail got acquainted with the most modern equipment and production processes of the enterprise.
Summing up the results of the meeting, Indian Ambassador to Ukraine Manoj Kumar Bharti said:
- Partnerships of Rivne Flax Mill with Indian industry are already at a very high level. However, I am ready to promote their further development, both in the direction of attracting Indian investors to further increase the production capacity of the Rivne Flax Mill, and in finding new reliable partners - suppliers of raw materials. In addition, the Indian market is interested in quality finished products produced by Lenokombinat under its own brand.
Mykola Yaroshchuk, President of the Rivne Chamber of Commerce and Industry, does not hide his joy at the successful meeting of the parties.
- Rivne Flax Mill is a real pride of our city. That's why it's great that such distinguished guests have expressed a desire to visit here, and we have something to impress them. Especially since the Indian market for us is an unfinished business. We have many common interests and many prospects.
Acting Roman Fomin, director of the Rivne Flax Mill, says: Indian diplomats are not surprised by the desire of Indian diplomats to visit their production. After all, with the growth of the company's capacity, the volumes of Indian cotton imports are growing exponentially.
– I remember a few years ago, during our first trip to India in search of raw materials, we ordered 3 containers of cotton yarn. Today, our orders reach 300 containers. Of course, such volumes and such dynamics are noticeable for Indians. Therefore, the visit of the Ambassador of India to our company will be an impetus for even more constructive cooperation. We will further improve our relations with our Indian partners, we will be able to get even better prices and even better raw materials, and as a result - our finished products will have even better quality and price. In addition, the Ambassador informed us about the progress in easing the visa regime between our countries, and this will greatly contribute to further strengthening ties. Impressed by the results of the team of Rivne Flax Mill, at the end of the meeting the Ambassador of India to Ukraine expressed a great desire to meet in person and get acquainted with the owner of the company Oleg Chervonyuk, who was on a business trip to Germany. ManojKumarBharti hopes that such a meeting will take place at the enterprise during his next visit to Rivne, or at the Indian Embassy in Kyiv, where the diplomat invited Oleg Chervonyuk for a friendly and business conversation.
The Indian guests did not leave empty-handed. Now both diplomats have stylish polo shirts from the new summer collection of TM "Goldi" - the result of the transformation of Indian cotton into high-quality Ukrainian knitwear.
